The 700-year-old vampire has a heart of gold – even if it no longer beats. A child who pleads with Vincent to find him so he can rest in peace instead of being forced to roam the earth. In the previous Prosper Woods book, we were introduced to Blue the ghost. 6 will listen again if i'm in the mood for the narrator.📌 Where does it fall on my personal scale? 5

🎧 Narrator comment: I enjoy John Solo as a narrator, his performance isn't flawless, and there were times I nudged up the native speed to 1.1x just to help increase the tension of a scene, but for the most part he has good cadence, inflections and intonations, he has a good variety of character accents and it was easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Greg's character is feeling a little "passive" for a character regarded as "Alpha", but overall I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one. There are quite a few things going on in this one yet somehow the pace felt like it needed a bit of a boost. 📖 Story comment: Reasonable pace, likeable characters, interesting story. All I want to do is move on to the next step.and I really need to rest. Until the vampire showed up, I wasn’t sure anyone could help. I’ve been waiting for someone to notice I’m gone for a long time. Vincent and Sheriff Romeo are my chance to find peace, at last. Who knew ghosts could have broken hearts? I need to help Romeo find a sweet little boy and finally lay him to rest. Things could go on just the way they are, but there’s something I’ve been asked to do before that happens. He’s kind and funny and honest to the core, just the kind of man I used to be, centuries ago. Let’s just say, nothing is boring about this bizarre place.įalling for Sheriff Romeo Harmon wasn’t something I expected when I relocated to a quiet town in the sequoias. Of course, most of the town residents have quirks of their own. Needless to say, it came as a massive shock. I’ve learned a fundamental truth about myself. Other things have been weirder than I could ever imagine. Some things have been amazing, like falling head over heels for Vincent Lasco, a gorgeous 700-year-old vampire. Ever since moving here a few months ago, my life has turned upside down. Strange things are happening in Prosper Woods, California.
